Connect Kallix to Sendbird.
A phone call when the app isn't enough.

Kallix doesn't run inside Sendbird Calls or your app. It adds the phone network: with Sendbird's webhooks and Platform API on one side and Kallix's webhooks and REST API on the other, your developers can call a user's phone when in-app messages don't reach them, then post the outcome back to their chat.

Kallix and Sendbird share

  • A phone call as the fallback
  • Callbacks requested in chat
  • Outcomes back in the conversation
  • Built by your developers

Connects through webhooks and REST API

What Kallix and Sendbird do together.

A phone call as the fallback
When a user doesn't respond in the app, your backend asks Kallix to call their phone number through the REST API.
Callbacks requested in chat
A user asks for a call in a Sendbird channel, your backend picks up Sendbird's webhook and starts a Kallix call.
Outcomes back in the conversation
Kallix's signed webhook gives your backend the outcome and captured fields, ready to post into the user's channel through Sendbird's Platform API.
Built by your developers
There's no Sendbird setting in the Kallix dashboard. It's a few API requests in your own backend, in each direction.

Connect Sendbird. In 4 steps.

  1. 1

    Pick the moments

Decide which in-app events should lead to a phone call, such as a callback request or a message left unanswered.

  2. 2

    Listen to Sendbird

Turn on Sendbird's webhooks for those events and handle them in your backend.

  3. 3

    Start the call

Your backend calls the Kallix REST API with the agent, the user's phone number and variables such as name and order ID.

  4. 4

    Post the result

Handle Kallix's signed webhook for the analysed call and send the outcome to the user's channel with Sendbird's Platform API.

Not today. Kallix agents make and answer phone calls on Indian numbers through our telephony partner, Vobiz. They don't join calls inside your app.

Because some users only respond to a phone call. Your app keeps its chat and in-app calls on Sendbird, Kallix adds a phone call when those don't land, and the record of each call returns to the chat.

Not for Sendbird. It takes a developer working with both APIs. For no-code setups with other tools, Kallix connects through Zapier or Make.

Ask for consent in your app first, and store where and when it was given. On the call, the agent says it's an AI assistant in its first line and offers a person if asked.
