Bolna AI pricing starts at $0.06 a minute for pay-as-you-go accounts, shown on Bolna's page as ₹5.52, and drops to about 4.5¢ (₹4.15) on its largest wallet top-up. That rate covers Bolna's bundled speech recognition, language model and voice. Bolna's telephony and its own platform fee are charged per minute on top, and phone numbers are rented separately.

The figures below come from Bolna's pricing page and docs, checked on 23 October 2026. Bolna prices in US dollars and shows rupees at ₹92 to $1, so we've used that rate throughout. Then come the costs that add up, a worked monthly bill and a fair look at how Kallix compares.

How Bolna bills a call

  • Three parts. Bolna's docs split each call's cost into the AI (speech recognition, the model and the voice), the telephony, and Bolna's platform fee.
  • The bundle. The flat rate covers a list of "preferred" models. Pick a model outside that list and that part is billed by usage instead.
  • Your own keys. Connect your own provider accounts and Bolna stops charging for those parts; you pay the providers directly, plus the platform fee. On the Basic plan, using any key of your own moves that call off the flat rate and onto usage pricing.
  • The wallet. Prepaid in US dollars. Calls stop when the balance runs out, so set up automatic top-ups or low-balance alerts.
  • Pulses. The Pilot plan bills in 30-second pulses. Telephony is rounded to whole minutes.
  • Queues, not rejections. Outbound calls above your line limit wait in a queue and dial as lines free up. Inbound calls aren't limited.

Costs that add up

Telephony and the platform fee

These two decide how Bolna compares with an all-in rate, and neither is published as a figure. Telephony depends on your carrier and the country of your numbers. Ask Bolna for both at your expected volume before you compare.

Phone numbers

Each number is $5 a month, about ₹460, taken from the wallet. Indian numbers come through Plivo or Vobiz and need KYC first. Bolna's docs also explain how to get regulated 140- and 160-series numbers.

Lines

This is where Bolna is generous: paid accounts start at 10 concurrent calls with no charge per line, and the limit rises with monthly usage.

Where data is stored

Bolna stores data in the US by default, and offers India data residency as an enterprise feature.

The exchange rate

Bolna shows rupees at ₹92 to $1, but the mid-market rate on 22 October 2026 was about ₹94.8 (Pluang), so check what your bank or card charges on a dollar top-up. A $600 top-up is ₹55,200 at ₹92, and about ₹56,880 at ₹94.8.

A worked monthly bill: 1,000 to 50,000 minutes

The assumptions:

  • outbound calls to Indian mobiles
  • Bolna's bundled models, at ₹4.15 to ₹5.52 a minute depending on top-up size
  • two, five and 10 lines, all inside the 10 included on paid accounts
  • one Indian number at $5 a month
  • telephony and the platform fee left open, because Bolna doesn't publish them as figures
  • dollars at Bolna's ₹92, and taxes left out on both sides

Bolna, what we can total₹4,610 to ₹5,980₹41,960 to ₹55,660₹2,07,960 to ₹2,76,460
Kallix, all in₹5,299₹51,496₹2,48,491

The Kallix figures are ₹4.80 a minute with Indian call minutes included, ₹999 a month for each line beyond the two included, and one number at ₹499 a month.

How to read it. At Bolna's standard rate, the AI part and a number already cost more than Kallix's all-in month at every volume. On the largest top-up they cost less, so the answer turns on telephony and the platform fee. For Bolna to match Kallix, those two together would need to come to about ₹0.69 a minute at 1,000 minutes, ₹0.95 at 10,000 and ₹0.81 at 50,000. If they come to less, Bolna costs less. The lowest rate needs the largest top-up, so it suits high volumes. A new account can also buy the Pilot once: 12,000 minutes for $500 (₹46,000), about ₹3.83 a minute. How Kallix compares

Where Bolna is stronger

  • Lines. 10 concurrent calls from the start with no line charge, against two included and ₹999 a month for each extra on Kallix.
  • Control. Choose your own models, bring your own keys, and connect your own carrier or SIP trunk.
  • Lower AI rates at volume. The largest top-ups and the Pilot plan bring the AI part below ₹4.80 a minute.
  • More languages documented. Its docs list 18 languages, most of them Indian, and say which ones handle switching mid-call. Kallix covers Hindi, English, Hinglish and more.
  • Numbers billed monthly, at about ₹460, against Kallix's ₹499 a month billed every three months.
  • Track record. Bolna has sold since 2024 and publishes customer stories from Indian companies. Kallix was founded in 2026.

Where Kallix fits

  • One rupee rate with the call inside it. ₹4.80 covers the voice, speech recognition, the language model and Indian call minutes, with no dollar wallet, no separate carrier bill and no per-minute platform fee.
  • Data in India from the first call, on every account, and Kallix is DPDP Act compliant.
  • Indian calling rules built in: DND (NCPR) checks before a campaign dials, calling windows in IST, and Indian numbers, including 140-series numbers for promotional calls, rented in the dashboard.
  • Testing as a habit. Run a suite of test scenarios against each new agent version and see a pass or fail for every one.
  • Signed webhooks for call events, with a test button.
