The AI calling agent price in India is usually quoted per minute, but the per-minute figure is rarely the bill. Some platforms put the voice, the language model and the phone call into one rupee rate. Others price each part separately, often in dollars, and add numbers, extra lines and monthly fees on top. On the published rates we checked on 23 October 2026, the AI part alone ran from ₹3 to about ₹29.45 a minute.
This guide explains what you pay for, lists each platform's published price with a link to its pricing page, and works out what a month costs at 1,000, 10,000 or 50,000 minutes of calls. Kallix charges ₹4.80 a minute with Indian call minutes included. Where another platform costs less, we say so.
What goes into an AI calling agent price in India
Every AI phone call is built from the same parts, whoever sells it. What changes from platform to platform is which parts sit inside the headline rate.
| Part | What it does | How it's usually priced |
|---|---|---|
| Speech recognition | Turns the caller's words into text | Per minute, in a bundle or passed through from a provider |
| Language model | Works out what to say and do next | Per minute in a bundle, or by tokens |
| Voice | Speaks the reply | Per minute, or by characters |
| Platform or hosting | Runs the agent, the dashboard and the integrations | Per minute, a monthly fee, or inside the rate |
| Telephony | Carries the call over a telecom network | Per minute or pulse, inside the rate or from your own carrier |
| Phone numbers | The number your customers see or dial | A monthly or quarterly rental |
| Concurrent calls | How many calls can run at the same moment | Some included, then a monthly fee for each extra line |
Two more things move the total: the unit a call is billed in, and the currency.
Per second, per pulse or per minute
A pulse is a block of call time that's billed whole. Kallix bills in 30-second pulses of ₹2.40, so a 45-second call is two pulses. Sarvam bills agent time in 60-second pulses and its own telephony in 30-second pulses. Retell AI tracks each call to the second. The unit matters most on short calls, such as reminders and confirmations:
| Call length | Kallix, telephony included | Sarvam pay as you go, with its telephony |
|---|---|---|
| 25 seconds | 1 pulse: ₹2.40 | 1 minute + 1 pulse: ₹3.70 |
| 45 seconds | 2 pulses: ₹4.80 | 1 minute + 2 pulses: ₹3.90 |
| 70 seconds | 3 pulses: ₹7.20 | 2 minutes + 3 pulses: ₹7.60 |
Neither unit wins every time, so work it through with your own typical call length.
Rupees or dollars
Platforms that bill in US dollars cost more in rupees when the rupee weakens. In this guide, dollar prices are converted at ₹95 to $1, rounded from the mid-market rate of about ₹94.8 on 22 October 2026 (Pluang). Bolna shows its own rupee figures at ₹92 to $1, so Bolna's prices use that rate. At ₹95, a $0.11 minute costs ₹10.45. At ₹100 it would cost ₹11.
Kallix and Sarvam list their rates before GST, so add it when you budget.
AI voice agent cost per minute: published rates
These are the rates each platform's own pricing page listed on 23 October 2026. "About ₹" uses the conversion rates above.
| Platform | Published rate | About ₹ a minute | What the rate covers | Source, checked 23 Oct 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kallix | ₹4.80 a minute | ₹4.80 | Voice, speech recognition, the language model and Indian call minutes | Kallix pricing |
| Sarvam | ₹3.50 a minute pay-as-you-go, falling to ₹3.00 on its Business plan | ₹3.00 to ₹3.50 | Its speech, language and voice models. Telephony (₹0.20 for each 30-second pulse) and numbers (₹59 every 30 days) cost extra | sarvam.ai |
| Ringg | ₹6 a connected minute | ₹6 | Speech recognition, voice, language model, telephony and basic analytics | ringg.ai |
| Bolna | $0.06 a minute, about 4.5¢ on the largest top-up | ₹4.15 to ₹5.52 | Its bundled speech, language and voice models. Telephony and a platform fee are extra | bolna.ai |
| Vapi | $0.05 a minute for hosting, providers at cost; its own estimate is $82 to $129 per 1,000 minutes | ₹7.79 to ₹12.26 | Hosting, transcription, model and voice. Your carrier's minutes are extra | vapi.ai |
| Retell AI | $0.07 to $0.31 a minute | ₹6.65 to ₹29.45 | Voice engine, voice and model. Retell telephony is $0.015 a minute, or free over your own SIP trunk | retellai.com |
| Smallest.ai | $0.09 to $0.21 a minute by model; Enterprise from $0.05 | ₹8.55 to ₹19.95 | Hosting, speech recognition, model, voice and telephony. Your own carrier is billed at cost | smallest.ai |
| Bland AI | $0.14 a minute on Start, or $0.12 on Build with a $299 monthly fee | ₹11.40 to ₹13.30 | Model, speech recognition and voices. Telephony is billed separately | bland.ai |
| ElevenLabs | $0.08 a minute beyond a plan's included minutes; Pro is $99 a month with 1,238 minutes | ₹7.60, plus the model | Speech and voice, with no telephony fee. The language model is billed at cost | elevenlabs.io |
A range means the price depends on the models, voices or top-up you choose. The last column decides what comes next: a rate without telephony needs a carrier bill beside it.
Costs that sit outside the headline rate
Telephony, numbers and lines
Calls to Indian customers need Indian call minutes, an Indian number and enough lines for your busiest hour. Here's how six platforms handle them:
| Platform | Indian call minutes | Phone number | Lines included | Each extra line |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kallix | In the ₹4.80 rate | From ₹499 a month, billed ₹1,497 every three months, through Vobiz | 2 | ₹999 a month |
| Sarvam | ₹0.20 for each 30-second pulse, or no Sarvam charge if you bring your own provider | ₹59 every 30 days | 4 on pay as you go; 10, 30 or 200 on paid plans | Move up a plan |
| Ringg | In the ₹6 rate | ₹499 a month | Not published | Bought monthly; its billing docs show five lines for ₹2,000 a month |
| Bolna | Billed per minute by carrier, not published as one figure | $5 a month, about ₹460 | 10 on paid accounts, rising with usage | No line charge |
| Vapi | From your carrier; Vapi's free numbers are US and inbound only | From your carrier | 4, or 10 on the $29 Core package | $10 a month, about ₹950 |
| Retell AI | From your carrier over SIP; Retell's own numbers are US and Canada only | From your carrier | 20 | $8 a month, about ₹760 |
A line carries one call at a time. If you want 600 calls finished in an hour and each lasts about two minutes, that's 1,200 minutes of talk in 60 minutes, so you need about 20 lines, plus some room for ringing and retries.
Platform fees, packages and minimums
- Bolna adds a platform fee per minute on top of its rate. The amount isn't on its pricing page.
- Bland AI pairs its lower $0.12 rate with a $299 monthly fee on the Build plan, about ₹28,405.
- Vapi sells optional packages: Core at $29 a month, and Pro, charged at a tenth of the hosting fee but never less than $999 a month.
- Sarvam's paid plans carry a monthly minimum that comes back as credits. On Growth it's ₹49,999.
- Ringg prices on usage plus a monthly minimum commitment. The amount isn't listed.
- ElevenLabs sells monthly plans with included minutes, from free to $990 a month.
- Retell AI and Kallix charge no platform fee, and Kallix has no monthly commitment.
Add-ons
Check what a working agent needs that the base rate leaves out. Retell AI adds $0.005 a minute for a knowledge base and $0.01 for PII removal. Vapi's HIPAA add-on is $2,000 a month. Ringg charges ₹2 a call for advanced analytics, and Sarvam ₹2 for each simulated test run. On Kallix, the knowledge base, recordings, transcripts and post-call analysis come with every account.
A worked monthly bill: 1,000 to 50,000 minutes
The assumptions, the same for every platform:
- outbound calls to Indian mobiles, counted as billed minutes after each platform's rounding
- two lines at 1,000 minutes, five at 10,000 and 10 at 50,000
- one Indian phone number
- self-serve rates checked on 23 October 2026, with dollars converted as above
- taxes left out
Kallix, line by line
| Monthly cost | 1,000 minutes | 10,000 minutes | 50,000 minutes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Calls at ₹4.80 a minute, Indian call minutes included | ₹4,800 | ₹48,000 | ₹2,40,000 |
| Lines beyond the two included, ₹999 each | None needed | 3 × ₹999 = ₹2,997 | 8 × ₹999 = ₹7,992 |
| One phone number (₹1,497 a quarter) | ₹499 | ₹499 | ₹499 |
| Total before GST | ₹5,299 | ₹51,496 | ₹2,48,491 |
| Works out at | ₹5.30 a minute | ₹5.15 a minute | ₹4.97 a minute |
The same months on other platforms
| Platform | 1,000 minutes | 10,000 minutes | 50,000 minutes | Still to add |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kallix | ₹5,299 | ₹51,496 | ₹2,48,491 | Nothing in this setup |
| Sarvam, with its telephony | ₹3,959 | ₹36,559 | ₹1,77,559 | Nothing in this setup |
| Ringg | ₹6,499 | ₹60,499 | ₹3,00,499 | Any extra lines, and the monthly minimum |
| Bolna | ₹4,610 to ₹5,980 | ₹41,960 to ₹55,660 | ₹2,07,960 to ₹2,76,460 | Telephony and the platform fee |
| Vapi | ₹7,790 to ₹12,255 | ₹78,850 to ₹1,23,500 | ₹3,92,255 to ₹6,15,505 | Your carrier's minutes and number |
| Retell AI | ₹10,450 | ₹1,04,500 | ₹5,22,500 | Your carrier's minutes and number |
How each row was built:
- Sarvam: pay as you go at ₹3.50 for 1,000 minutes, where four lines are enough. Pro at ₹3.25 for 10,000 minutes, because five lines need it. Growth at ₹3.15 for 50,000 minutes, the plan Sarvam suggests from 16,000 minutes, with 30 lines. Its telephony at ₹0.40 a minute (two pulses) and one number at ₹59. At these volumes the minutes cost more than each plan's minimum.
- Ringg: ₹6 a connected minute plus one number at ₹499. Its included lines and minimum commitment aren't published.
- Bolna: ₹4.15 to ₹5.52 a minute depending on top-up size, plus one number at about ₹460. Paid accounts start with 10 lines.
- Vapi: its calculator's $0.082 to $0.129 a minute. One extra line ($10) at 10,000 minutes, and the $29 Core package for 10 lines at 50,000.
- Retell AI: the setup in Retell's own pricing example, $0.11 a minute (voice engine, a platform voice and a $0.04 language model). All three line counts fit within the 20 it includes.
How to read it. Sarvam's published rates come in below Kallix's at all three volumes, and Bolna's largest top-up can too before its telephony and platform fee are added. Ringg, Vapi and Retell AI come out higher in this setup, though Vapi and Retell let you choose your own models and carrier, and Retell bills to the second. Kallix and Sarvam are the two rows with nothing left to add for Indian calls, apart from GST.
How Kallix pricing works
- ₹4.80 a minute, all in. One rate covers the voice, speech recognition, the language model and Indian call minutes, billed in 30-second pulses of ₹2.40.
- Connected talk time only. Unanswered calls aren't charged.
- Two lines included. Each extra concurrent call is ₹999 a month.
- Numbers from ₹499 a month, rented through our telephony partner, Vobiz, and billed every three months. The dashboard lists every number and its rate.
- A prepaid rupee wallet. Top up when you need to, with no monthly commitment and no seat fees.
- ₹500 in free credits on sign-up, about 100 minutes of calls.
- Volume pricing on enterprise plans, with higher concurrency. Talk to sales with your expected minutes.
All prices exclude GST. To price your own volume, use the AI calling cost calculator → or see Kallix pricing →.
How Kallix compares
To be fair about it, other platforms cost less or include more on some counts:
- Sarvam has a lower rate on every plan, includes its models and names 11 Indian languages plus English.
- Bolna's largest top-ups and its one-time Pilot plan bring its AI rate below ₹4.80, and paid accounts start with 10 lines at no line charge.
- Retell AI includes 20 lines and Vapi four, and both let developers pick their own models and carriers.
- Retell AI bills to the second, so very short calls don't round up.
Where Kallix is simpler for calls to Indian phones:
- One rupee rate with the Indian call minutes inside it, so there's no second bill from a carrier.
- Indian numbers rented in the dashboard, and every number checked against the DND register (NCPR) before a campaign dials.
- Call data stored and processed in India on every account, and Kallix is DPDP Act compliant.
- WhatsApp follow-ups after the call, test suites before launch and analytics on every account.

How to estimate your own bill
- Minutes. Multiply your calls a month by the share that connect and by the average talk time. 20,000 calls, half of them connecting, at two minutes each comes to 20,000 minutes.
- Rounding. Apply each platform's billing unit to your typical call length, using the pulse table above.
- Lines. Work out how many calls you want running at once in your busiest hour.
- Numbers. Count the numbers you'll rent, and the series your calls need.
- Fees and minimums. Add platform fees, packages, add-ons and any monthly minimum.
- Currency and tax. Convert dollar prices at the day's rate, then add GST.
FAQ: AI calling prices in India
What does an AI calling agent cost per minute in India?
An AI calling agent in India costs about ₹3 to ₹30 a minute on published rates checked on 23 October 2026: from ₹3 a minute (Sarvam's Business plan) to about ₹29.45 (the top of Retell AI's range, converted from dollars). Some rates include Indian telephony and some don't. Kallix charges ₹4.80 a minute with Indian call minutes included.
Does the per-minute price include telephony?
It depends on the platform. Kallix and Ringg include Indian call minutes in their rate. Sarvam charges its telephony separately, and Bolna adds telephony per minute by carrier. Vapi and Retell AI expect you to bring a carrier for Indian numbers, and that carrier bills you directly.
Am I charged for calls nobody answers?
On Kallix, no: you pay for connected talk time only. Retell AI and Sarvam also say they charge only for calls that connect. A call that reaches voicemail counts as connected on Sarvam, and on Retell AI it's billed while the agent is on the line.
Which AI calling platform has the lowest price per minute?
Of the rates we checked on 23 October 2026, Sarvam's are the lowest headline figures: ₹3.50 a minute without a monthly plan, and ₹3.00 on its Business plan, with telephony and numbers charged on top. The lowest headline doesn't always give the lowest bill, so total a full month at your volume with lines, numbers and minimums counted.
How many concurrent calls do I need?
Enough for your busiest hour. Multiply the calls you want to finish in that hour by the average call length in minutes, divide by 60, and leave some room for ringing and retries. Kallix includes two lines and charges ₹999 a month for each extra one.
Do these prices include GST?
Kallix's ₹4.80 excludes GST, and so do Sarvam's rates. The other platforms here price in US dollars or don't say, so check with each one how tax appears on your invoice.
Is there a free trial?
Kallix gives ₹500 in free credits on sign-up, about 100 minutes of calls. Retell AI gives $10 (about ₹950), Vapi $5 (about ₹475) and Bolna $5 (about ₹460). ElevenLabs' free plan includes 15 minutes of calls, and Ringg gives new accounts free credits without stating the amount.
Do large volumes get a lower rate?
Usually. Kallix offers volume pricing on enterprise plans. Sarvam's rate falls by plan, and its Enterprise pricing applies from 2 lakh minutes a month. Bolna offers volume discounts on committed usage, and Retell AI and Vapi quote enterprise pricing through sales.
