A good call ends with something the customer can act on. A payment link, a booking confirmation or a brochure is easier to use as a message than as something read out over the phone, which is why the follow-up on WhatsApp is part of the flow, not an afterthought.
Why the follow-up matters
People forget details from a phone call quickly. A message right after the call puts the date, amount or address where the customer can find it again, and gives them a way to act without calling back.
What to send
Match the message to the outcome of the call:
- Booked: the date, time, place and a way to reschedule
- Promise to pay: the amount, the date they gave and the payment link
- Interested: the brochure or details they asked for
- Callback requested: when your team will call
Keep each message short and specific to what was said on the call.
Templates and consent
Business messages on WhatsApp that start a conversation use approved templates. Write a template for each outcome you plan to send, and only message people who have agreed to hear from you there.
Keep it on one contact record
The call, the message and any reply belong to the same customer. Kallix logs the outcome and the follow-up against the contact, so whoever picks up the conversation next sees the whole story.
