Retell AI alternatives.
Global and Indian options, side by side.
Why teams look beyond Retell AI.
Retell AI is a global voice agent platform with a drag-and-drop canvas for call flows, APIs and SDKs, scenario simulation and SIP trunking for any phone system. Teams compare it with others for a handful of reasons.
- A price built from parts. Retell lists $0.07 to $0.31 a minute for voice agents. The total depends on the model and voice you pick, with telephony at $0.015 a minute on Retell's numbers and add-ons such as knowledge base, branded calls and PII removal billed on top.
- Billing in US dollars. Indian teams working to a rupee budget may want a rate set in rupees, so the bill doesn't move with the exchange rate.
- Indian languages and numbers. The Retell pages we checked say agents can talk in multiple languages but don't name them. Teams calling in Hindi or Hinglish on Indian numbers often want a platform built around Indian telephony and checks such as DND.
- How much you want to configure. Retell gives you wide choice of models, voices and add-ons. Some teams want that control; others would rather have one bundled rate and fewer settings.
What to check before you switch
- The real cost a minute once model, voice, telephony and add-ons are counted
- Billing currency, and how a weaker rupee would change your bill
- Named support for the languages your callers speak, tried on a test call
- Indian numbers, DND (NCPR) checks and calling windows in IST
- Concurrency included, and the price of each extra line
- Scenario testing and versions you can roll back before changes reach customers
